Halloween Slime!

Today to mark Halloween, 4CJ and 4AW made spooky slime!

If you would like to make slime at home, here is the recipe:

water
PVA glue
borax salts
food colouring, glitter etc.

Method:
1) Mix 100 ml PVA glue with 100 ml water.
2) If you want coloured slime, add a few drops of food colouring.
3) In a small bowl, mix 1g of borax with 25 ml of WARM water and stir until most of the borax has dissolved.
4) Add the borax solution to the glue and water mix, and stir to make slime!
5) Knead with your hands to get a smooth texture.

Engagement Programme visit Southampton Boat Show

All Polygon pupils were lucky enough to get tickets for the Southampton Boat Show. The Engagement Programme set off in search of some Sunseeker yachts and freebie pens!

 

 

One of our boys had a brother who was working on the security gate so we found him and went over for a quick chat. He told us about some good stalls to visit and where to find the biggest yachts!!

 

 

We found them! After taking our shoes off, we walked around one of Sunseeker's luxury yachts. The most expensive sells for £7million!!

 

KS4 Work Expreience

 

Work Experience at Sainsbury's local.

 

 

 

One of Year 10 pupils successfully completed a 1 week block work experience placement at Sainsbury’s local in Bedford Place, Southampton.

Zack had a great week at the store. The staff were very welcoming and made him feel right at home. Zack got to learn how the store worked and assisted his “colleagues” with stock checks, product placement and shelf stacking.

We would like to thank Sainsbury’s local and look forward to working with them again this term as they have agree to have more of our pupils join them.
