PSHPE- Obesity

4 AW and 4 CM continued with their PSHPE programme today. This week the focus was around the problems associated with obesity. This was a really interesting session where we simulated how much more difficult exercise is when you are heavier. Dan, Owen and Jamie brought in different weighted bags which we had to wear on our fronts while using the DMS mats. The heaviest bag was definitely the hardest!

PSHPE

4AW and 4CM started their PSHPE sessions this afternoon. The sessions are designed to allow the boys to learn about PSHE topics through practical activities. Today we used the DMS mats (Dynamic Movement Skills) combined with football activities. During the session we learnt about the effects of smoking on the body. We used straws to demonstrate how much harder it is to exercise when our oxygen intake is much smaller.

Combining DMS agility footwork with a football volley!

Well done boys for trying something new!

15 cigarettes a day over four years... this is what your lungs will look like!

Go George!
