April is to think
about the following
Theme: Health
Reboot the Future
Question:
How is our health connected to the
health of our planet?
The planet and our health are connected in many ways.
Thinking about different aspects of what is happening with the planet, we have
positives and negatives just like we do with our own Health.
There are so many connections to the planet, the fact
that global warming is happening, we are in danger of affecting the positive
state of the planet in the long run. In dealing with the problem we are putting
things into place to resolve and prevent further damage.
Our Mental and physical health is something we contend
with every single day, we are having to make decisions to prevent bad time and
to improve our health just the same as all of us trying to save the planet.
Humans and the planet are just as important as each
other. If we don’t have a healthy planet we don’t have any people.
If we don’t have healthy people, we won’t have a healthy
planet to live on.
We need both to carry on.
Question:
What does it mean to be healthy?
Health is
when our minds and bodies feel good, work well, without injuries or illness.
Although
they are often talked about separately, our mental and physical health often
impact each other.
Question:
What if you are not healthy?
Bad mental
health can lower your immune system.
Having no physical
health can lower your mood.
Question:
What’s Changed to make us all find it harder in recent years?
The
COVID-19 pandemic challenged people’s mental health as well as their physical
health, and showed how connected our health is to those around us before.
We are not
always in control of the things affecting our health, but there are actions we
can take to increase our mental and physical wellbeing.
These are
Spending time in nature
Eating well
Doing something to help others.
When we are
kind to the planet and each other, it is good for our health, and when we are
healthy we are the able to help make the world a better place too.

Question:
Is it okay not
to be okay?
We all have
good days and bad days. Sometimes the bad times might last longer than we wish.
However, you know that there is support there if you really need it. The same
goes for anyone you are worried about, tell them about this information above.
You know
even thought you might feel like you are on your own, just know that Adults
also have difficult times. We as adults have just had longer to deal with
managing things.
Even still
you might think we are all robots and have no idea what it’s like to be a child,
but remember we were young once, We’ve experienced growing pains too!
Some adults might even have studied or have
experienced the same as what you are going through.
So when you
are offered support, do take it on, but when you are ready. If an adult offers
support and you turn it down at the time, just know they will still be there
when you are ready.
We are all
here to help.
