Christmas Cookies

Aiden spent his time in after school club icing biscuits to decorate for hanging them up on a Christmas tree. He wanted to give them a lease of life by adding eyes to give them all a bit of personality.

After Miss Burton showed Aiden how to ice around the biscuits he felt he be confident enough to do it by himself. Aiden showed great resilience and barely spoke because he was so focused on the designs!

They look absolutely amazing and hope they taste as good as they look!

3PR Wreath Making

For 3PR we decided to get creative this morning for class activities by making our very own wreaths.

The pupils cut up fabrics of their choice and followed instructions on how to apply the fabric to the metal outline really well.

They all showed great resilience.

Callum applied a sequence to his fabrics and using wool to tie the fabrics together.

Lukas used a block design using red stripes on opposite sides. He wanted to leave the wool to add more volume to his wreath.

Harley did really well to add the fabrics together after finding it really difficult to add. He showed great resilience.

Here are the final pieces.

St Mary's Stadium Visit

Recently, some of the boys were lucky enough to spend the morning at St Mary's Stadium courtesy of the Saints Foundation, who work closely with the school and it's pupils.

During the trip the pupils enjoyed a tour of the stadium, including the pitch-side dugouts and press room, and had the opportunity to take part in various games and team building exercises.

Many of the pupils also came away with various pieces of Saints merchandise, such as team kit and programmes, as a reward for their positive work throughout the term.

Art Activities

During Art activities Liam thought to make some Christmas cards.

He wanted to use all sorts of materials to re-use to do a snow themed Christmas. He wanted the cards to be a clean and simple design. So with some thinking he decided to just use papers and cards to make his design.

He used a hole punch to create snow and drew he very own snowmen. Knowing the snow flakes wouldn't show up on the white paper he got Miss Burton to cut out some black card for him to place on the inside.

Liam wrote some very sweet messages wishing his family a very merry Christmas.

Maths Kings

All children have been working really hard in math's to maximise their learning in lessons.

In response to this, a "maths crown" has been purchased, children choose to wear it as and when they feel they deserve to!!

Wreath Making with 'In Focus'

'In Focus' invited the school to join a workshop to make some wreaths. We used recycled materials that Faye, the workshop leader went out and collected from various charity shops. It was a fun filled 4 hours of learning to use different materials and to figure out which was the best process to make a wreath in the most efficient way.
