Swimming Gala 2022

The whole school have been at Shirley Swimming Pool this morning to take part in the first Polygon Swimming Gala! 

It’s been fantastic having weekly swimming sessions on our timetable and the progress has been outstanding! Well done to all pupils who took part today I am so proud of you all! 

Below are results for 1st 2nd and 3rd in Backstroke and Freestyle. We will have a medal ceremony in September!

Polygon at the QINETIQ Powerboat Challenge

A great day at the boat challenge with our boys having the opportunity to finally test their creation.

All motors are checked to ensure all schools use the same motors.

Our pupils mingled very well with the schools and the engineers.

A proud moment for our boys and Polygon School.

They finished mid table in heats and won the B final. A great achievement for the schools maiden voyage in this competition.

Art in the City

Our City is full of cultural opportunities to explore art indoors in galleries and outdoors in our beautiful parks! 

Pupils enjoyed exploring City Gallery and picked out their favourite pieces. Pupils had some fantastic discussions around Art from different eras and cultures, some photographed below. 

We then explored the parks and had a drink stop in Metricks. Pupils showed exceptional manners around the general public and enjoyed conversations with staff about their pastimes and what they would do if they had 3 wishes! 

We then let off some steam in the park before wandering back while enjoying people watching particularly a procession of Graduates and their families.
