On the water

Over the past few months several groups have gone out to Woodmill Activity Centre to take part in watersports activities. The boys took part in kayaking, canoeing and SUP boarding.

The KS4 group managed to achieve their Level 1 Discovery Award by taking part in numerous challenges, one being capsizing your kayak!

KS4 Buzz session

Today in PSHE KS4 we’re treated to a practical workshop titled Buzz! Buzz is delivered by the DASH team at No Limits.

Buzz aims to involve young people in discussions about the risks involved in drinking alcohol or using substances and equip them with the information they need to make healthy choices. There is an emphasis on exploring ways they can enjoy themselves without substances by participating in alternative activities.

KS4, had a great session and enjoyed experimenting with the practical resources particularly the drunk and stoned goggles!

Tyler, did some excellent dancing with Mrs Foster being spun around then tried the high 5 challenge! Well done to all the pupils who got involved and asked great questions! Sarah will be back in during Summer 2 to run sessions with year 9 pupils.

Iceland Day 5 Part 4

When you are in Reykjavík and get caught up with university students needing to complete challenges!

The NASA team and Cheshire Cat group asked for our help! Mrs Foster was wearing the right colour for the Cheshire Cat team to complete 1 challenge and Little Oscar helped the lifting challenge!

Then Brad was charmed by the lovely NASA ladies to help them complete their challenge! The bonus of being the youngest on the trip!

We are now on our way home!
See you all soon, hope you have enjoyed following our adventures in Iceland!

Iceland Day 5 Part 3
