Southampton Boat Show 2019

Recently The Polygon school was given  the opportunity to take our pupils to the annual boat show. This was 3JB's first trip at The Polygon and they had an amazing time-their behavior was outstanding-well done boys-I'm looking forward to our next class trip!

National Fitness Day

KS4 and National Fitness Day 25.09.19

The KS4 boys were given the opportunity to participate in the National Fitness Day initiative this afternoon by joining in with a fitness circuit as a group. Participants accross the country will have taken part in at least 10 minutes of continuous activity in order to raise awareness of the benefits of being fit and healthy. 3HI Boat show trip

This week 3HI had the opportunity to visit the boat show in Southampton. Careers in Southampton kindly organised tickets for our school, which was hugely appreciated.  The class was luckily enough to be able to participate in a range of water based activities which included: Catamaran sailing, power boating and the class favorite rib speedboat ride! we look forward to next year, below is some photos showing exactly how we got on.

                                                                                                                                                

3KP Boat Show

This year our school was very lucky to receive Boat Show tickets sponsored by Careers Southampton. 

KS3 students went to the Boat Show on Monday 16th September. 

3KP engaged in a paddle boarding session. Firstly, everyone had a go at paddling on a single-person board kneeling down and then standing upright. Some attempts to stand up on a board resulted in children (and staff!) falling into the water. Later, a few of us went on a bigger board where we had to work together to paddle rhythmically in order to move in a desired direction.

We also looked around the Pirate Ship and explored its darkest nooks and crannies.
