Some of the boys were lucky enough to go to the Cinema last Friday to see The Jungle Book in 3D...here are a few of our pictures.

Supermoon

Super Moon

I don't know about bigger, but it was definitely brighter.

Apparently the moon looked 14 per cent bigger and up to 30 per cent brighter than usual, I didn't get a brilliant picture. Aberdeenshire in Scotland and north-eastern parts of Wales had the clearest conditions for an unobstructed view, but did anyone else get a better picture than this one?

The next time the moon will be so large and bright will be in 2034. There is a prize for any student who can tell me why it looks so bright at the moment and why it will be so long till it looks this large again.

Switch Off Fortnight

Pupils and staff will be working to reduce our energy usage in the next fortnight

• making sure we turn lights off when leaving rooms
• turning appliances off rather than leaving them in standby
• closing doors and windows

Can you think of other ways we might save energy?

Pupils will be completing audits during cross-curriculum activities to see if we are making a difference.

Games Club 10/11/16

Well done to the following pupils that attended Games Club this week; Leon, Alfie, Jack and Jaiden.

Games included; K'Nex, iPads and Connect 4.

Pupils had the opportunity to gain bonus Hot Chocolate points if they could beat Mr. Lloyd at Connect 4 and congratulations to Jaiden who was able to fill his reward card after needing just 2 wins!

This week we our topic is World War 1 and Remembrance Day. We have also talked about the US Elections, where we discovered that Donald Trump is now the new president.
