PSHE - Knife Crime Education with Dean Coady OBE

We have been very lucky this half term to have Dean Coady OBE in to discuss Knife Crime not only with the pupils but also a session with staff on criminal exploitation.

Dean, is a former Parachute Regiment Soldier and Manchester Police Detective. He served in CID, Major Crime and Specialist Operations, Counter Terrorism Branch and Gang Unit. Prior to his retirement, he was one of the highest decorated Police Officers in England. Recently he has also been working with Zimbabwe’s women’s anti-poaching group protecting elephants.

Pupils learnt about street crime in a really interactive way and discussed consequences of actions and ways to keep safe. The pupils all demonstrated exemplary behaviour throughout and everyone was talking about Deans visit in a very positive way.

Thank you Dean!
