Iceland Day 5 Part 1

It’s our last day! 

Bit of a late night for some of us but the best breakfast in our cabin hotel sorted us all out! Nice to see some boys still going for the traditional Icelandic cucumber and salad option despite the bacon and eggs available. If you see your son eating cucumber and boiled eggs for breakfast now this is where it started! 

Little Oscar made Mrs Foster a fantastic cup of tea this morning, it’s great to see how independent and confident the boys are becoming! 

Here are a few pics of our cabin hotel with mountain views from every room! Our bags are now packed and we are off to the planetarium before heading back to the city and the airport to head home! See you all at school about 11 tonight!

Our next stop was to explore Deildartunguhver - Hot Spring and Hraunfossar and Barnafoss Waterfalls. We also found a friendly cat that we wanted to bring back with us on the coach! 

Iceland Day 4 Part 1

Can’t believe it’s nearly our last day! Hope you have been enjoying the updates and photos of our adventures! 

We have had another busy day of waterfalls and outdoor adventures. This morning we packed up and left our hotel to spend the day exploring the rural wonders Iceland has to offer after our city day yesterday. 

We started today with a visit to Glanni Waterfalls. 

We then climbed over 770 steps (Linkin was counting) to reach the top of Grabrok Crater!
