Wembley

Wembley

On Sunday 25th November, 10 students, along with 5 members of staff, travelled to Wembley Stadium in London to watch a football tournament. The school had been donated tickets from a local energy company to attend The Wembley Cup, a tournament featuring four YouTube football teams including football legends.

The group met at Morris House at 10:45am, ready to leave by mini-coach at 11am. After many an arduous game of ‘I Spy’, we arrived in London and walked towards the looming arches of Wembley. Some of our students had never been out of Southampton before, let alone to London or to the biggest stadium in the UK with a capacity of 90,000.

Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed 2 semi-final games and watched F2 lift the trophy after winning the final game against Rebel FC.

The boys had a fantastic time, which was reflected by their impeccable behaviour. I am sure they will hold on to these memories for a long time.
