Over the past few months the boys at Morris House have been
busy taking part in Forest School at Itchen valley Country Park with Youth
Options where they have learnt fire building skills and become quite the pros.
The boys have enjoyed toasting marshmallows over campfires and cooking sausages
as well as making their own bow and arrows along with much more.
The Pupils at Morris House have also taken part in visiting Art
Galleries and Museums around the local area these included the Tudor
House Museum, Sea City Museum, Southampton Art Gallery and the John Hansford
Gallery. The boys really enjoyed these trips and learning some history about
Southampton. The Mirza Haroum expedition was a hit with all the boys, they
enjoyed the immersive experience so much that one pupil took back with
him what he learnt and created a cylinder in his art lesson to feel like
you were having an experience inside a forest.
