💓Year 8 are currently studying the concept of love in RE and have been looking at Agape💓
Agape could be defined as charity. Agape love is unconcerned with the self and concerned with the greatest good of another. Agape requires sacrifice without expecting anything in return.
Year 8 made a valentines basket of goodies and sold raffle tickets to raise money for Second Chance an Animal Shelter in Southampton (see below for more details)
https://www.secondchanceanimalrescue.co.uk/
Well done Year 8 for raising £67 for the shelter.
A big thank you to everyone who donated and congratulations to Taxi Driver Steve who won the valentines basket!
Congratulations Taxi Driver Steve!
Our next steps are to visit the shelter and donate the money raised.
Kian did an amazing job of calling the shelter, informing them of the money raised, and arranging a visit after half term.
Tobi, Riley and Liam counted the money and Alex was our star salesman!
Excellent work Year 8!
