The Polygon School have taken part in the “Day to Create” project as set out by Artswork which will be shared with the Arts Council England.
We used wooden cutlery and gave
pupils the instruction to create a character/personify their item.
All of our boys really enjoyed
doing this-even some that said they were not going to take part joined in once
they saw others creating such amazing characters!
Lots of the pupils chose to make
people they know or make people associated with their interests, for example we
had a basketball player made, a chef and a soldier
The staff joined in too and we
had great fun.
This morning Mrs. Hendon-John and
Miss Long went to Palmerston Park to display our creations in town where they
can be seen by all. We hope that as the Commonwealth torch is being taken
through town, people take the opportunity to admire our works of art!

display together.
One man stopped to take photos
of it before we had even finished! A man from the city council also came over
to admire them!
