Forest School is always a highlight for our pupils, giving them the chance to explore, learn, and challenge themselves in a range of natural environments.
Throughout each programme of sessions we visit around five different outdoor locations, from Itchen Valley to the stunning landscapes of the New forest, to Lepe beach.
Each visit gives pupils the opportunity to connect with nature while taking part in exciting activities and team challenges. Some of the favourite games include sardines, manhunt, and capture the flag, which encourage teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and resilience. Pupils also enjoy exploring the different environments and making use of the hammocks, which are always a popular way to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
One of the biggest highlights is using the ladder tag and radios, which are always a massive hit with the group. These activities help pupils develop confidence, cooperation, and listening skills, while having fun and building positive relationships with their peers.
Forest School provides a valuable opportunity for pupils to step outside the classroom, develop new skills, and experience the many benefits of being active and engaged in the natural world.
