On Wednesdays after break the whole school has wellbeing time. Here are some of our photos from 3GR’s session this week when we went over to the park.

From Patch to Plate: The Allotment Journey!
Towards the tail end of the last academic year, carrots and vegetables were planted at the Polygon Allotment.
They were watered and cared for by various pupils from the engagement and classroom pathways, alongside Miss Thom, during alternative provisions, afterschool club and activities.
This past week, those carrots were finally ready to be picked and so during these sessions a selection of the boys picked the perfect carrots, cleaned and sorted them, and took them to our school cook, Kelly to use for lunch!
ASC: Ready Salted Crisp Cookies
In after school club recently we tried Ready Salted Crisp Cookies! This is a recipe Miss Long had seen on TV so we gave it a go. There were mixed reviews! Give them a go and see what you think!

Southampton Boat Show 2025
Recently we were fortunate enough to be invited as a school to attend the Southampton Boat Show 2025 at Mayflower Park.
Whilst on site pupils from the main site, and the alternative pathways, were able to experience a variety of Maritime related activities and meet many associated employers.
Pupils took part in kayaking and paddleboarding on the man made pond, went on a boat trip around Southampton Water with a historical talk, got to sit in the luxurious Bentley cars and explore many boats, ships and maritime equipment.
We were also able to speak to many businesses about what they do and opportunities available including the UK Border Force, RNLI, Coastwatch, Sunseaker and Bentley.
As you can see below the pupils had a very positive day.

Meet your School Council
Polygon School Council
Following on from our Head Boy elections last week, the school had individual class elections for their class councilors.
The new school council met for the first time this week to discuss the school rewards system and any changes they would like to make.
They will discuss in their tutor groups and feedback to SLT with new suggestions.
We are sure their pupil voice will be heard and actioned around the school and we look forward to working together over the next year.

Election Day at Polygon
Election Day at Polygon
Today was a very democratic day at The Polygon School. The whole school community came together to vote for who would represent us as Head Boy.
It was also the day where each class voted for their class councilors.
Well done to all of our new School Council members and the 2025/26 Head Boy, Tyler and Deputy Head Boy, Owen. I am sure you will all represent us well for the next year.
