4NA Climbing Session

This week 4NA took to the climbing walls at Parthian Climbing Centre. We had a few nervous boys at the start of the session but as soon as they got into the swing of it there was no stopping them. They did not stop climbing for the whole hour and a half session.

Pupils were really supportive of each other as they got used to the equipment. Some pupils found it hard to put there trust in the equipment but they got there in the end with the support of their peers.

Pupils this week were learning about the different gradings for each climb they did. The higher the number the more difficult the climb was. Well done to Linkin and Brendan for challenging themselves from the first climb they did whilst making it look easy!

Pupils also got to have a go at using the auto belays. At this point the confidence in the group had already grown so much and we saw two pupils make it to the top of these massive walls more then once before we moved onto bouldering.

Super proud of Lewis who was smashing in the white and light blue routes up the wall. Great perseverance.

Jozef started the session saying he did not like heights. This was not obvious when it came to bouldering. Jozef was challenging himself to white, yellow and even blue routes up the wall. Well done Jozef you made so much progress this session.

Linkin was showing off his natural strength and decided he did not need to use his feet when climbing these overhangs.

Well done Brendan for taking on the competition routes.

Brendan also showed fantastic skill as he tried this difficult blue. It took a few attempts but with resilience and perseverance he made it to the top. Super climbing.

This was week two climbing for Tobi, and what a week he had. His confidence on the wall was fantastic and he did not stop climbing until the end. He challenged himself this week with completing more overhang climbs. Well done Tobi.

This week the boys became super competitive on one particular route. The cube! Well done for the whole group giving it a go, it looks much harder then it is. Well done to Brendan and Linkin for making it to the top.

Well done boys you all had a brilliant session.
