Year 7 took a trip to Southampton Common to immerse themselves into the world of Charles Dickens book Great Expectations!
Pupils explored the cemetery and put themselves into the shoes of Pip and escaped convict Magwitch.
More drama was then explored back at school. Pupils really engaged with the text and characters. Everyone was shocked at the twist in the classic tale when they discovered who was really behind Pip's new found fortune.
