Year 7 have had a fantastic start to Citizenship lessons at The Polygon. So far this half term pupils have:
* Looked at what it means to be a good citizen.
* Shown an understanding of democracy and taken part in a whole school vote for Head Boy and class elections for school council representatives.
* Looked at who is in charge of England.
* Shown an understanding of where they live in relation to the rest of the world. Naming continents, countries, county's and cities.
* Can name the capital of England.
* Discussed why they are proud to be British.
* Enjoyed a British Values Tea Party using manners and holding respectful conversations.
Below are a few photos capturing pupils learning and engagement in Citizenship this half term!
Well done everyone!
