RHS Wisley Scarecrow Competition
Pupils from 3LB and 3KP designed scarecrows for the Royal Horticultural Society's garden at Wisley this year and 3KP's design was picked by the judges to be displayed.
3KP had themed their scarecrow on plastic in the sea, continuing the work they had done in Citizenship with Miss Potts, on the impact of plastic in our sea has on the environment.
Their scarecrow featured a plastic buoy donated by Hamble Water Taxis & Moorings, shells, seaweed and recycled garden tools. Thanks also to Miss Ifould for the use of her pebbles and to Miss Fornal for the donation of the trainers.
Once the scarecrow was all set up at the gardens, pupils from 3KP had a great time looking around the gardens, especially in the Glass House which contained some amazing tropical plants.
Watch out for our entry to RHS Wisley's scarecrow competition next year!
