All pupils this week on the Engagement Pathways had the opportunity to join in on spooky activities during their personal development sessions in light of Halloween.
Using the home-grown pumpkins from our very own patch, a handful of pupils enjoyed carving their own characters, which also went towards AQA unit awards the Engagement Pathways pupils have been focusing on.
During other cooking sessions pupils also made their own Halloween Bark, using chocolate, edible Halloween decor and colouring to make them extra spooky. This was a very simple cooking task so it was great the pupils could get really creative whilst being independent.
To finish off the term, the introduction of the new reward system has seen a success with the attitude of the regular attending pupils improving during sessions and happy faces leaving on the last day of term with their reward money. To track their progress each week Mr Crook updates the board at Morris House with a running total and a simple visual that is easy to read - and this week we even made it spooky, of course!
